Eastern UP’s city of dead

In eastern Uttar Pradesh 400 children have died till now because of Japanese encephalitis. Every year two-three thousand children die because of this disease.

Mayawati builds ignominious parks, Akhilesh promised 20 million sarees. In Lutyens’ Delhi PM and cabinet ministers exchange bouquets and mementos everyday in Vigyan Bhawan.
In Delhi, dengue and honour killings, and killings of aged couples makes some noise but is it not a killing on large scale when thousand of children are dying every year because of lack of medical care. Is government more numb than sophisticated citizens who show more interest in T-20, Saifeena marriage or Big Boss?
I don’t know how Foreign Direct Investment will help in fighting this dreaded disease. So called honest Prime Minister has doubled his income from last year’s 5 crore to 10 crore and national son-in-law has many times folded his asset from just 50 lakhs to 300 crores but I doubt how Gandhiji’s Talisman’s last poor man will get benefit from these growths.

  1. Filth, pigs and mosquitoes – no idea how we can avoid them. And the medicine is too costly…
I found our Rly doctors also help less in the out brake of cases.

    • Nowadays Govt. and self-proclaimed philanthropists like Melinda Gates have enormous fund for AIDS but no interest and money for kala-azar or Japanese Encephalitis only because the victims are poor people living far flung from national capital. Yesterday I read in newspaper that in India, one pregnant mother dies in every 10 minute. I can’t understand how India is shining and for whom.
