Child labourers? The Constitution of India is unique in its own way, it prohibits child labour and promotes it too. And our Constitution and social morality is silent on the plight of aged people. There is a well-known presumption that after the age of 60 a human being starts to decline so as to become a child again. In that pursuit this pic too depicts the act of child labour. I have never seen such hardworking waitresses whom I met in a South Indian restaurant of Kanyakumari.
The poor author was only able to bring a moment of smile to such beautiful ladies and nothing else. Doesn’t Bible says in Psalm 71:9 – ‘Do not cast me off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength is spent’.
